ORDINANCE NO.                   

Title

An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Act of Donation by Chevron U.S.A. Inc. for the American Legion Ballpark property located at 1486 Highway 632 (WPA Road) Des Allemands.

Body

WHEREAS,      Chevron U.S.A. Inc. is the owner of a certain 22.678 acre tract of land located at 1486 Highway 632, WPA Road, Des Allemands, which has been known for many years as the American Legion Ballpark; and,

WHEREAS,      Chevron U.S.A. Inc. has agreed to donate said Park property to St. Charles Parish, which property is shown as Lot 260A on a Plat recorded in Book 678, Page 7 of the Conveyance Records of St. Charles Parish; and,

WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish Council to accept said Donation on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I.      That the Act of Donation - Immovable Property by Chevron U.S.A. Inc. for the WPA Road Ballpark and Recreation Center Property to St. Charles Parish is hereby approved.

SECTION II.      That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Act of Donation on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
