IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Geraldine “Deanie” Matherne Mahan is a life-long resident of Des Allemands, Louisiana and has been married to her loving husband Gerald Wayne Mahan, Sr., for more than 50 years. Together they have two children; Gerald Wayne Mahan, Jr., husband of Susan Mahan, and Shelly Mahan Murray-Brass, wife of Erik Brass. They are the proud Grandparents to three grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, and one step-great granddaughter; and,
WHEREAS, Deanie was crowned the 11th Louisiana Granny Catfish Queen at the annual Louisiana Catfish Festival on Friday, June 17, 2016, held at St. Gertrude Catholic Church in Des Allemands.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
