Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 91-1-6, Traffic Code for St. Charles Parish; to provide for installation of "NO PARKING" decals in Lakewood West Subdivision, Luling.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 91-1-6 amended Ordinance No. 82-10-9 to direct the Department of Public Works to install "NO PARKING" signs at the following locations:
WEST SIDE OF LAKEWOOD DRIVE from its intersection with Highway 90 to the end of Lakewood Drive

EAST SIDE OF LAKEWOOD DRIVE from its intersection with Highway 90 to the north property line of 108 Lakewood Drive

and then

from the proposed Second Street to the south property line of 182 Lakewood Drive to the end of Lakewood Drive.; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish now desires to establish a "NO PARKING" zone on both the East and West sides of Lakewood Drive from US 90 to the intersection of East Heather Drive and West Heather Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish desires to establish a bike lane on both sides of Lakewood Drive, within the existing pavement width, between US 90 and to the intersection East Heather Drive and West Heather Drive; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish desires to amend Ordinance No. 91-1-6 by removing the language concerning Lakewood Drive as stated in the first WHEREAS above and replacing it with the following language:
Public Works shall install "NO PARKING" decals on both the East and West side curbs of Lakewood Drive between US 90 and the intersection of East Heather Drive and West Heather Drive.; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish further directs the Department of Public Works to establish bike lanes by installing bike decals along approximately 5,000 feet of the roadway alignment of Lakewood Drive, from the intersection of US 90 and Lakewood Drive to the intersection of East Heather Drive and West Heather Drive and Lakewood Drive on the pavement between the travel lane edge stripe and the curb.
