Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 2 for the 29th Judicial District Building Project to add 85 additional days to the contract and decrease the contract amount by $21,580.51.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 16-7-8 adopted July 18, 2016 by the St. Charles Parish Council awarded construction of the 29th Judicial District Building (District Attorney Annex), to Boasso Construction, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, additional work in the amount of $28,419.49 was necessary for the relocation of infrastructure including removal of unforeseen underground concrete, provide and installation of two (2) conflict boxes, installation of piping & boxes for security cameras & card readers, and for the relocation of an HVAC Mini-Cassette rooftop unit and time delays associated with such work necessitated an additional 21 days; and,
WHEREAS, a $50,000.00 contingency allowance was included in the original base bid to cover the cost of the relocation of infrastructure, resulting in an unused balance of $21,580.51 to be credited to the Parish.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 2 for the 29th Judicial District Building (District Attorney Annex) Project to add 85 additional days to the contract and decrease the contract amount by $21,580.51 is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2018, to become effective five (5) days after this publication in the official journal.
