IN RECOGNITION

WHEREAS, Timothy J. Vial has been an employee of St. Charles Parish government for the past 32 years and six months; and,

WHEREAS, Tim has served under all four parish presidents since the St. Charles Parish Home Rule Charter was adopted in 1979; and,

WHEREAS, Tim has extensive knowledge of the Home Rule Charter and the parish's Planning and Zoning and Building Codes; and,

WHEREAS, Tim served as Chief Administrative Officer for 27 years and an ex-officio member of the St. Charles Parish Hospital Board for 32 years; and,

WHEREAS, Tim never tried to influence a decision by the parish president, but rather, provided the pros and cons in order to allow his superior to make an informed decision; and,

WHEREAS, Tim reviewed all parish contracts to ensure the citizens' best interests were being served; and,

WHEREAS, Tim is well respected throughout the state of Louisiana, with officials in other parishes consulting him for advice on a regular basis; and,

WHEREAS, Tim is always willing to help with any parish problem or personal matter; and,

WHEREAS, Tim's professional approach to problem solving, his ability to keep his cool and his way of making huge problems seem ordinary and solvable will be missed; and,

WHEREAS, I would like to thank his wife Rhea, son Brody, and daughters Bria and Brenna for sharing Tim with us; sometimes missing family duties because of his career.

SO THEREFORE, BE IT KNOWN, THAT ON BEHALF OF ALL ST. CHARLES PARISH EMPLOYEES AND MYSELF, I THANK TIMOTHY J. VIAL FOR HELPING MAKE ST. CHARLES PARISH A GREAT PLACE TO LIVE, WORK AND PLAY.
