Title

An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 05-8-10 to extend the MORATORIUM on the issuance of permits for off-premises and general advertising signs along the U. S. Highway 90 corridor from LA 52 and LA 633 in Boutte to the St. Charles Parish/Lafourche Parish line in Des Allemands.

Body

WHEREAS,      the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 05-8-10 on August 15, 2005 which enacted a Moratorium on the issuance of permits for off-premises and general advertising signs along U. S. Highway 90; and,

WHEREAS,      said Moratorium is set to expire on December 31, 2005; and,

WHEREAS,      it is the desire of the Parish Council to extend said Moratorium until March 31, 2006.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

SECTION I.      That Ordinance No. 05-8-10 adopted on August 15, 2005 is hereby amended by adding the following:

SECTION IV.      That the Moratorium hereby imposed shall be in effect until March 31, 2006.
