ORDINANCE NO.
Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 97-4-3 to extend the Contract with St. Charles Mosquito Control, Inc. for Mosquito Control Services in St. Charles Parish.
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 97-4-3 on April 7, 1997, approving a contract with St. Charles Mosquito Control, Inc. for Mosquito Control Services, through December 31, 2001; and,
WHEREAS, the Contract provides that "upon written mutual agreement between the Parish Council and the Contractor, this Contract may be extended for an additional five year period..."; and,
WHEREAS, the Contract/Finance and Administrative Committee met on November 15, 2001, and has recommended that the Parish Council extend the current Contract; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to extend said Contract for a five (5) year period, in accordance with the provisions of Section 9.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. 97-4-3 is hereby approved, extending said Contract through December 31, 2006, and making such other amendments as included therein.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
