Title
A ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract with Barriere Construction Co., LLC, for the construction of the St. Charles Parish West Bank Multi-Use Path, Phase III, State Project No. H.007552 (formerly, State Project No. 744-45-0010), Federal Aid Project No. 4510(500), extending from the Davis Diversion in Luling to the St. Charles/Jefferson Parish line.
Body
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development (LADOTD) opened bids on January 11, 2012, for said project; and,
WHEREAS, by way of a letter dated January 17, 2012, the LADOTD requested the Parish review the bids and submit to the LADOTD written recommendation of the award of the contract to the low bidder, Barriere Construction Co., LLC; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish submitted a letter dated January 20, 2012, concurring with the award of said project to said low bidder; and,
WHEREAS, the LADOTD has prepared a contract between the Parish and Barriere Construction Co., LLC, for said project; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve said contract.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Contract between the St. Charles Parish and Barriere Construction Co., LLC, for the St. Charles West Bank Multi-Use Path, Phase III, State Project No. H.007552, Federal Aid Project No. 4510(500), in the amount of $797,771.90 is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
