Title
A resolution endorsing the design concept of Hartman Engineering, Inc., for necessary Consulting Engineering Services associated with Parish Project No. S000403, Force Main to Luling Oxidation Pond.
Body
WHEREAS, Hartman Engineering, Inc. was selected by the QBS Panel to provide engineering services for Parish Project No. S000403, Force Main to Luling Oxidation Pond; and,
WHEREAS, the design concept was presented to the Construction Management Committee on November 27, 2000; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish is currently under a federal administrative order for the Luling Pond and the design of this project, when implemented, will allow for a significant reduction in sewerage flow to the Luling Pond; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish desires to continue with the design of the project; and,
WHEREAS, Hartman Engineering, Inc. has prepared and submitted a revised opinion of probable cost in accordance with Sections 4.1, 4.1.1.1, 4.1.1.2 of the engineering agreement approved by Ordinance No. 00-6-18; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has previously budgeted the sum of $550,000.00 for said project; and,
WHEREAS, the anticipated engineering fee for the project presented to the Construction Management Committee on November 27, 2000, is approximately $300,000.00 and Supplemental Services in the amount of $90,000.00.
BE IT RESOLVED, that St. Charles Parish endorses the furtherance of the design of the project as presented to the Construction Management Committee on November 27, 2000.
