Title
An ordinance of the Parish of St. Charles to terminate the Engineering Services Contract with Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc. for the P070110, Walker Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaner and Deck Project.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance 07-3-13, adopted March 19, 2007, authorized an Engineering Services Contract with Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc. for the P070110, Walker Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaner and Deck Project; and,
WHEREAS, the scope of the project was for design and construction management of installing automatic bar screen cleaners at the Walker Pump Station; and,
WHEREAS, since the Corps of Engineers is now determining changes/improvements to the East Bank Hurricane levee, results from this work may either no longer require that the Walker Pump station operate, or possibly require substantial upgrading; and,
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works does not feel that the recommended relocation of the Walker Pump Station is justified or within the scope of the Engineering Services Contract and recommends the contract be terminated.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Engineering Services Contract with Shread-Kuyrkendall & Associates, Inc. for the P070110, Walker Pump Station Bar Screen Cleaner and Deck Project, Parish Ordinance 07-3-13, adopted March 19, 2007, be hereby terminated.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute any documents necessary to effect said termination.
