IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, as a student at Hahnville High School Tab Troxler job shadowed the Parish President which sparked his interest in local government; and,
WHEREAS, Tab first began working for St. Charles Parish in 1990 as a Summer Worker in the Department of Emergency Preparedness under the direction of Mr. Ikey Lucas; and,
WHEREAS, after continued summer and holiday work during school he was hired as a Coordinator of Emergency Preparedness on January 31, 1994, being promoted to Senior Coordinator on July 11, 1994 and ultimately served as Director of Emergency Preparedness from May 7, 1997 to February 6, 2009; and,
WHEREAS, Tab is a graduate of Thomas Edison State University with a degree in Emergency Disaster Management and is currently pursuing a degree in Homeland Security Studies at Tulane University; and,
WHEREAS, during his time in Office, Tab has become an accomplished Homeland Security and Emergency Management Professional earning the respect of his peers across the State of Louisiana and directing the Parish response to numerous emergencies, both man-made and natural; and,
WHEREAS, with his vast knowledge and experience he has assisted in the development of local emergency plans in eighteen Parishes across the State of Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, Tab is a Senior Instructor with the Louisiana State University's National Center for Biomedical Research and Training, Academy of Counter-terrorist Education, having developed three national training programs in Computer Aided Management of Emergency Operations and Response to Weapons of Mass Destruction Cargo; and,
WHEREAS, Tab has made presentations at The National Hurricane Conference, The National Radiological Conference, The International Association of Emergency Managers Conference, The Louisiana Chemical Association, and The Louisiana Emergency Preparedness Association, and has testified before the...
