IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Fred Smith is a lifelong resident of St. Charles Parish where he lives with his parents Fredrick and Lisa Smith and his siblings Charmaine, Lahoya, and Latoya; and,
WHEREAS, Fred, for the past four years started for the Destrehan "Fighting Wildcats" football team; and,
WHEREAS, Fred, was selected All-State (2 years), All-Metro (2 years), All-Metro Offensive MVP (1 year), All-River Parish (3 years), All-District (3 years), All-District Offensive MVP (2 years), WWL "Prep Player of the Week" (4 times), and recently named All-Metro Offensive Player of the Year by the Times-Picayune; and,
WHEREAS, Fred caught 64 passes for 1,202 yards and 15 touchdowns this season which led the Wildcats to a co-district championship and a semi-final playoff berth; and,
WHEREAS, Fred, Wide Receiver for the Destrehan High Wildcats, was named All District Most Valuable Offensive Player in District 6-5A; and,
WHEREAS, Fred, will receive a four-year Scholarship to Tulane University.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
FRED SMITH
