Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with D&O Contractors, Inc., for the construction of Project P020704, Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station, in the amount of $7,892,025.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by the Parish on August 15, 2003 for Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station; and,
WHEREAS, Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc., Consulting Engineers for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, D&O Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $7,344,025.00; and,
WHEREAS, due to the fact that the Base Bid was under the projected construction cost estimate, Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc., Consulting Engineers for the Project, recommends Alternate 1 be awarded in the amount of $548,000.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of D&O Contractors, Inc., for the construction of, Project P020704, Bayou Trepagnier Pump Station, be and hereby accepted, with Alternate 1, in the amount of $7, 892,025.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ____________, 2003, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
