Title
An ordinance of the Parish of St. Charles providing that the Code of Ordinances, Parish of St. Charles, be amended by revising Section 15-5, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, of said Code, to provide for the installation of "NO PARKING" signs along both sides of Destrehan Drive beginning at River Road (LA 48), extending approximately 120 feet onto Destrehan Drive in Destrehan.
Body
WHEREAS, vehicles continuously park at the entrance of Destrehan Drive at River Road which blocks the view of motorists; and,
WHEREAS, parking in this area poses a safety hazard to those traversing the intersection; and,
WHEREAS, no parking signs are needed at the approximate locations as shown on a drawing, in order to eliminate the safety hazard.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. Traffic control signs have been posted by the Department of Public Works since the adoption of Ordinance No. 82-10-9.
SECTION II. In accordance with Section 15-5, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, of the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinances, the Department of Public Works is hereby authorized to order the erection, removal and location of such traffic control signs, signals, devices and markings as provided in the chapter or any amendments thereto.
NOW, THEREFORE, WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, DO HEREBY ORDAIN that "NO PARKING" signs be installed along both sides of Destrehan Drive beginning at River Road (LA 48), extending approximately 120 feet onto Destrehan Drive in Destrehan.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
