Title

A resolution authorizing St. Charles Parish to enter into an intergovernmental agreement with the State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development under the Louisiana Statewide Flood Control Program for assistance in the implementation of a flood control improvement project, Ellington Pump Station, State Project Number H.013148; providing for the necessary documentation of the need for the flood control improvement; and providing for other matters in connection therewith.

Body

WHEREAS,                     St. Charles Parish has a need for flood control improvements; and,

WHEREAS,                     in 2016, St. Charles Parish has applied for State matching funds pursuant to L.A. R.S. 38:90.1 et. seq., as amended, to implement the Ellington Pump Station project to improve its flood control and St. Charles Parish is fully aware of its obligations under said Statute; and,

WHEREAS,                     the State has made funds available for the above project; and,

WHEREAS,                     St. Charles Parish agrees with said agreement.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY RESOLVES:

SECTION I.                     That Parish President Larry Cochran is hereby authorized and empowered to execute any and all contracts of whatever kind on behalf of St. Charles Parish and to do all things necessary in the premises, pertaining to the above project.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

 

 

 

 

And the resolution was declared adopted this             day of                      , 2017, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
