Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with Barriere Construction Co., LLC for the construction of Parish Project No. P090103-4, Road Maintenance 2010, with Base Bid, Alternate No. 1, and Alternate No. 2 in the amount of $1,807,961.50.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on September 2, 2010 for Road Maintenance 2010; and,
WHEREAS, GEC, Inc, Consulting Engineers for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Base Bid, Alternate No. 1, and Alternate No. 2 of the Contract be awarded to the low bidder, Barriere Construction Co., LLC, in the amount of $1,807,961.50.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I That the bid of Barriere Construction Co., LLC, for the construction of St. Charles Parish Project No. P090103-4, Road Maintenance 2010, be hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $1,807,961.50.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract documents on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
