Proclamation: St. Charles Parish Family & Community Week

P R O C L A M A T I O N
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council and Parish President recognize the importance of the family unit, and community volunteers in today's society; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Association for Family and Community Education was organized in 1951 and whose acronym is FCE; and,
WHEREAS, there are three Clubs with eighty-five members in the Parish of St. Charles; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Association - FCE members participate in many worthwhile community activities; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Association - FCE Council provides educational opportunities for members to develop leadership and homemaking skills to promote a stronger family unit. Members also contribute invaluable assistance through their civic and charitable activities; and,
NOW, THEREFORE, WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, RECOGNIZE THE WORK OF THIS OUTSTANDING ORGANIZATION AND DO HEREBY PROCLAIM THE WEEK OF APRIL 27 - MAY 3, 2008, AS:
"ST. CHARLES PARISH FAMILY & COMMUNITY WEEK"
IN THE PARISH OF ST. CHARLES. CONGRATULATIONS ARE OFFERED TO THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH - FCE COUNCIL ON THE OCCASION OF THEIR 57TH ANNIVERSARY.
