Title
An ordinance approving the Sale, of Lot 1-B-1, Square 9, James Business Park, Extension No. 2, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, to Randa Corp.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish intends to transfer property for industrial inducement to Randa Corp., a New Jersey corporation pursuant to the provisions of Section 4717.2 of Title 33 of the Louisiana Revised States of 1950, as amended; and,
WHEREAS, Randa Corp. proposes to acquire, construct and equip a corporate headquarters and distribution facility in the James Business Park in St. Rose, Louisiana on property known as Lot 1-B-1, Square 9, James Business Park, Extension 2, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana, which property is owned by St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, the consideration for the sale is the economic impact of the facilities being induced, including, without limitation, direct and indirect employment, increased taxes, attraction of satellite and kindred industries, stimulation of collateral benefits to present residents providing supplies and services; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish has leased the subject property to Randa Corp. which lease has been previously approved by the St. Charles Parish Council.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Sale by St. Charles Parish to Randa Corp. for and in consideration of the economic impact of the facilities being induced, including, without limitation, direct and indirect employment, increased taxes, attraction of satellite and kindred industries, stimulation of collateral benefits to present residents providing supplies and services is hereby authorized after satisfaction of all conditions precedent stipulated in the lease of the subject property by and between St. Charles Parish and Randa Corp.
