Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Stuart Consulting Group, Inc., to perform engineering services for Ormond Center Drainage Improvements (Project No. P190505), in the amount not to exceed $81,246.00.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 19-6-8 adopted June 17, 2019, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a Professional Services Agreement with Stuart Consulting Group, Inc. to perform engineering services for Ormond Center Project (Project No. 190505); and,
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 7.1 of said agreement, St. Charles Parish terminated the agreement based on updated revised scope of work in accordance with the new Parish standards; and,
WHEREAS, the existing drainage system underneath Ormond Center has deteriorated and is not easily accessible for maintenance; and the existing weir within the southern part of Cypress Lakes golf course is currently manual which is not desirable for operation; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish wants to investigate rerouting the drainage from underneath Ormond Center to around Ormond Center through an open channel on the western boundary of the property; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish also wants to investigate removing the manual weir and replacing with an adjustable weir; and,
WHEREAS, the Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Stuart Consulting Group, Inc., describes the details of the proposed services and compensation.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Professional Services Agreement between St. Charles Parish and Stuart Consulting Group, Inc., to perform engineering services as required by the Department of Public Works for Ormond Center Drainage Improvements (Project No. P190505), in the amount not to exceed $81,246.00, is hereby approved and accepted.
