Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 92-12-15 to authorize the execution of a Cable Television Franchise Agreement Extension with Cox Communications Louisiana, LLC.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 92-12-15 on December 7, 1992 granting a Cable Television Franchise Agreement to Cox Cable St. Charles Parish, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, Cox Cable St. Charles Parish, Inc. changed its corporate name to Cox Communications Louisiana, LLC; and,
WHEREAS, said Franchise is set to expire on December 1, 2007; and,
WHEREAS, due to issues regarding franchise negotiations it is in the best interest of both parties to extend the current Franchise for one year to allow time for these matters to be resolved.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. 92-12-15 authorizing a one year extension to the Cable Television Franchise Agreement with Cox Communications Louisiana, LLC. is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment No. 1 on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2007, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
