Title
A resolution requesting the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to fund the remaining portion of the West Bank Mississippi River Multi-Use Path from Davis Drive in Luling to the St. Charles/Jefferson Parish Line.
Body
WHEREAS, the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has recently received bids for the West Bank Multi-Use Path extending from Elm Street in Hahnville to Davis Drive in Luling; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish has applied for funding of the West Bank Multi-Use Path from Davis Drive in Luling to the St. Charles/Jefferson Parish Line; and,
WHEREAS, this Path would tie into the existing Path in Jefferson Parish providing access to a Multi-Use Path extending to Elm Street in Hahnville.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development to fund the remaining portion of the West Bank Mississippi River Multi-Use Path from Davis Drive in Luling to the St. Charles/Jefferson Parish Line.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT a copy of this resolution be forwarded to Governor Bobby Jindal, Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu, Senator Joel T. Chaisson, II, Representative Gary L. Smith, Jr., Representative Ernest D. Wooton, Mr. William Ankner, Secretary of LDOTD, Mr. Roy Quezaire, LDOTD Legislative Liaison, Mr. R. H. “Buzzy” Wegner, Assistant District Administrator of Operations, and Mr. Michael Stack, District Administrator, Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
