IN   RECOGNITION
WHEREAS,      LaRon Landry is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in Ama, Louisiana with his parents Frank and Rhonda Landry and his two brothers Dawan and Derick; and,
WHEREAS,      LaRon is a 2003 graduate of Hahnville High School where he was very active in football, basketball, and track; and,
WHEREAS,      LaRon received numerous high school athletic honors among them:  1st Team All-District, All River Parish, and 1st Team All-Metro, he also led the Hahnville Tigers at safety and then at quarterback to two quarter final appearances in the state playoffs in his junior and senior seasons in high school; and,
WHEREAS,      LaRon is attending LSU in Baton Rouge, majoring in Sports Administration, on an athletic scholarship following in the footsteps of his big brother Dawan who is attending Georgia Tech on an athletic scholarship; and,
WHEREAS,      LaRon a LSU safety and freshman was recently honored to four All-Freshman Teams, 1st year Letterman, and led the LSU National Champion Tigers in tackles this season with 80.  He also recorded two interceptions, three sacks, one blocked kick, four pass deflections and seven quarterback hurries; and,
WHEREAS,      LaRon is a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Ama.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
LARON LANDRY
ALL-FRESHMAN TEAM
