Title
An ordinance to amend Ordinance No. 13-5-12, a Contract by and between the Parish of St. Charles and Science Applications International Corporation for Monitoring of Disaster Generated Debris & Disaster Management and Technical Services, Parish Project No. P090903, to consent to a business name change within the contract from Science Applications International Corporation to Leidos, Inc.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 13-5-12 on May 20, 2013, approving a Contract for the Monitoring of Disaster Generated Debris & Disaster Management and Technical Services, Parish Project No. P090903, with Science Applications International Corporation; and,
WHEREAS, effective September 27, 2013, Science Applications International Corporation changed its name to Leidos, Inc.; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish desires to consent to the name change within the Contract from Science Applications International Corporation to Leidos, Inc. and reiterate that Leidos, Inc. shall assume all of the rights, duties and obligations of Science Applications International Corporation arising out of the Contract.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Amendment No. 1 to Ordinance No. 13-5-12 is hereby accepted and approved to consent to a business name change within the Contract by and between the Parish of St. Charles and Science Applications International Corporation for the Monitoring of Disaster Generated Debris & Disaster Management and Technical Services, Parish Project No. P090903, from Science Applications International Corporation to Leidos, Inc.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Amendment No. 1 on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
