Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a contract with Lakeview Construction & Development, LLC for the Ashton Park Development Restroom Facility in the amount of $371,488.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on March 10, 2022, for Ashton Park Development Restroom Facility; and,
WHEREAS, Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers, Danny J. Hebert, P.E., L.L.C. has reviewed the bids and recommends that the contract be awarded to Lakeview Construction & Development, LLC, in the amount of $371,488.00; and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish plans to improve the overall experience for our residents when they visit and utilize the Ashton Park soccer fields; and,
WHEREAS, this restroom facility with the storage component as well as a concession stand will become an integral part of the Ashton Park soccer experience; and,
WHEREAS, as part of this project electricity will be provided to the facility from across Ashton Boulevard, this will allow for lighting of these soccer fields at a later date; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to approve and authorize this contract.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Lakeview Construction & Development, LLC for the construction of the Ashton Park Development Restroom Facility is hereby approved and accepted in the amount of $371,488.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
SECTION III. A final notice of Contract shall be printed and filed in place of the contract documents with the St. Charles Parish Clerk of Court and in the records of the St. Charles Parish Council.
