Title
An Emergency Ordinance to request a temporary change of the Polling Places for the Louisiana Constitutional Amendments and Parishwide Proposition Election to be held on November 13, 2021 for the Precincts of 1-2, 1-2A, 2-3, 3-3, 4-1, 4-1A, 6-1, 6-4, and 6-8.

WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council, acting as the governing authority of the Parish of St. Charles, State of Louisiana, heretofore called for an election to be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021; and,
WHEREAS, the Governor issued Executive Order Number 2021 JBE 13 on September 9, 2021 (said Executive Order, with any supplements or modifications, herein the "Executive Order"), to reschedule elections due to the Statewide State of Emergency caused by Hurricane Ida; and,
WHEREAS, as a result of Hurricane Ida and the damage sustained to certain Polling Places, temporary changes are required to facilitate the Election to be held on November 13, 2021; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Parish Council to request the Secretary of State approve said temporary changes to the Polling Places.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That temporary changes to the following Polling Places for the Louisiana Constitutional Amendments and Parishwide Proposition Election to be held on November 13, 2021 is hereby approved:
Precincts 1-2 & 1-2A
