IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Marie Legendre is a resident of Lafourche Parish residing in Thibodaux, Louisiana with her husband Louis; they are the proud parents of Nicole and Louis, Jr.; and,
WHEREAS, Marie majored in Accounting at Everest University and is currently a driver for People Haulers; and,
WHEREAS, Marie enjoys bringing meals to the elderly, riding motorcycles, hanging out with her daughter, and loves reading Nora Roberts novels; and,
WHEREAS, Marie is the 2001 Queen of the Krewe of Cleopatra Parade in Houma, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, Marie was crowned Ms. Classic Ambassador Queen of the St. Charles Parish Relay for Life Pageant held Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the John L. Dorsey Multi-Purpose Center in Boutte, Louisiana; and,
WHEREAS, Relay for Life is the American Cancer Society's signature activity uniting communities to celebrate cancer survivors, remember people who lost their battle to the disease, and honor those still fighting while raising awareness and funds for the fight against cancer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
