IN   RECOGNITION

 

WHEREAS,                     Malachi Duc Zeringue is a resident of St. Charles Parish, residing in Hahnville, Louisiana with his mother Quinn and brother Matthew; and,

WHEREAS,                     Malachi is a member of Troop 370 chartered by St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Luling; he started his Scouting career in August 2012; and,

WHEREAS,                     Malachi has spent the last 9 years as an active member of the Scouts spending the last 7 years preparing to become an EAGLE SCOUT; and,

WHEREAS,                     Malachi has earned his 31 merit badges from a list of 137 badges and completed his Eagle Scout Service Project by constructing a sun screen and shade for animals and handlers at the St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter; and,

WHEREAS,                     Malachi earned these 31 merit badges by showing leadership ability as Troop Quartermaster, Assistant Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, and Instructor; and,

WHEREAS,                     Malachi rose to the rank of EAGLE SCOUT on August 11, 2025, and received his medal in a ceremony on October 19, 2025, at the St. Anthony of Padua Community Activity Building in Luling; and,

WHEREAS,                     Malachi is a senior at Hahnville High School, and will graduate in 2026. He will continue to grow as an EAGLE SCOUT by earning his Associates Degree in Process Technology at River Parish Technical College.

NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, WE THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to

MALACHI DUC ZERINGUE

PARISH   OF   PLENTY”
