Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of a Professional Services Contract Extension, to Ordinance No. 17-2-9, between St. Charles Parish and St. Charles Mosquito Control, LLC for Mosquito Control Services for an additional five (5) years, April 1, 2022 and ending March 31, 2027.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish Council has recognized the need to continue its Mosquito Control Program to promote, protect and preserve the general welfare, safety and health of the citizens of St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 17-2-9 adopted February 20, 2017, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized execution of a Professional Services Contract with St. Charles Mosquito Control, LLC for professional Mosquito Control Services in St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, contract term for these services was five (5) years beginning on April 1, 2017 with the option to extend the contract by mutual agreement of the parties for an additional five (5) years; and,
WHEREAS, the parties wish to extend the Professional Services Contract for an additional five (5) years on April 1, 2022 and ending March 31, 2027.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That a five (5) year extension, April 1, 2022 and ending March 31, 2027, of the Professional Services Contract between St. Charles Parish and St. Charles Mosquito Control, LLC is hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said extension agreement on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2022, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
