An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinances, Chapter 3 Alcoholic Beverages, Article II. License, Section 3-15. Term, fee, permits required, transferability., (d) Hours of operation, penalties. (2) by deleting a. through f. and adding (2) a.
Body
WHEREAS, on August 20, 2007, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Ordinance No. 07-8-18 amending the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 3 Alcoholic Beverages to add under Article II. License, Section 3-15 (d) Hours of Operation, Penalties; and,
WHEREAS, businesses dispensing alcoholic beverages are operating in residential areas; and,
WHEREAS, loud music, fighting, and excessive drinking is disruptive to residential communities.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Code of Ordinances, Chapter 3 Alcoholic Beverages, Article II. License, Section 3-15. Term, fee, permits required, transferability., (d) Hours of operation, penalties. be amended by deleting (2) a. through f. and adding (2) a. as follows:
AS WRITTEN:
Section 3-15. Term, fee, permits required, transferability.
(d) Hours of operation, penalties.
(2) This section exempts the following days from the curfew hours:
a. Christmas Eve;
b. Christmas Day;
c. New Year's Eve;
d. New Year's Day;
e. Fourth of July; and
f. Any other days exempted by the vote of the council or by proclamation of the parish president.
REVISED:
