ORDINANCE:
Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with Shread-Kuyrkendall and Associates, Inc. for necessary professional engineering services associated with Project Three-Year Road Maintenance Program (2000, 2001, 2002), Project No. P000801.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following described project undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Engineering services for the design of the Three-year Road Maintenance project. The services will include property acquisition, site surveys, geotechnical investigations, acquisition of project permits, preliminary & detailed design, annual updates to the parish, road maintenance manuals, bidding and awarding of construction contracts, as well as project construction management, resident inspection and laboratory testing services; and,
WHEREAS, on September 20, 2000 the St. Charles Parish Qualifications Based Selection Review selected the firm of Shread-Kuyrkendall and Associates, Inc. to provide engineering services for said project; and,
WHEREAS, the opinion of probable annual project budget is as follows:
Construction $ 850,000
Surveying 20,000
Permits 5,175
Soils Testing ________
Engineering (Curve B) 54,825
Project Representation 50,000
Laboratory Testing 20,000
Other ________
TOTAL PROJECT BUDGET $ 1,000,000
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Contract for Engineering Services between Shread-Kuyrkendall and Associates, Inc. and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
