Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Construction Contract with Baker Pile Driving & Site Work, LLC for Project No. P081102-8, Dunleith Bank Stabilization - Phase VII, in the amount of $1,407,557.00.
Body
WHEREAS, the Dunleith Bank Stabilization - Phase VII Project will provide sheet pile and associated work to stabilize a section of the west bank of the Dunleith Canal north of Linwood Drive; and,
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by St. Charles Parish on February 27, 2018, for Project No. P081102-8, Dunleith Bank Stabilization - Phase VII Project; and,
WHEREAS, Evans-Graves Engineers, Inc., Stephen Lundgren, P.E., the Consulting Engineer for the Project, has reviewed the bids and recommended that the Contract be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder, Baker Pile Driving & Site Work, LLC, in the amount of $1,407,557.00.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of Baker Pile Driving & Site Work, LLC, for the construction of Project No. P081102-8, Dunleith Bank Stabilization - Phase VII, is hereby approved and accepted, in the amount of in the amount of $1,407,557.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2018 to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
