RESOLUTION NO.
Title
A resolution requesting that the Parish President authorize the Director of Public Works to evaluate and seek cost estimates to raise Evangeline Road between the Kansas City Southern Railroad and the Canadian National Railroad.
Body
WHEREAS, portions of Evangeline Road should be raised to allow the passage of vehicles during heavy rains; and,
WHEREAS, Evangeline Road is a major throughway for traffic from the River Road to Airline Drive; and,
WHEREAS, traffic on Evangeline Road will only increase with the constructions of Evangeline Estate and Country Cottage; and,
WHEREAS, Evangeline Road is used daily by School Buses traveling back and forth; and,
WHEREAS, citizens are gravely inconvenienced and often totally immobilized when roadway flooding occurs; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish should take steps to correct this problem as quickly as possible.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do herby requesting that the Parish President authorize the Director of Public Works to evaluate and seek cost estimates to raise Evangeline Road between the Kansas City Southern Railroad and the Canadian National Railroad.
