WHEREAS, Mr. Billy B. Booth has served three consecutive four-year terms as the District V Representative on the St. Charles Parish Planning & Zoning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, May 2007, Mr. Booth was nominated by former District V Councilmember April Black and confirmed by the St. Charles Parish Council to serve a four-year term on the Planning & Zoning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, May 2011, Mr. Booth was re-nominated by former District V Councilmember Larry Cochran and confirmed by the St. Charles Parish Council to serve a second term on the Planning & Zoning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, May 2015, Mr. Booth was re-nominated by District V Councilwoman Marilyn B. Bellock and confirmed by the St. Charles Parish Council to serve a third term on the Planning & Zoning Commission; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Booth served as Chairman of the Planning & Zoning Commission in 2010 and 2011, and 2016 - 2019; and,
WHEREAS, Mr. Booth has a vital position at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Kenner, as a Bomb Technician for the U. S. Department of Homeland Security where he trains Transportation Security Administration (TSA) screeners how to locate bombs and bomb parts; and,
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council and the Parish President appreciates the years of service Mr. Booth has dedicated to St. Charles Parish as a member of the Planning & Zoning Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby recognize
