Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a contract with D & O Contractors, Inc. for the construction of Parish Project No. P980701, Willowdale Pump Station, in the amount of $3,091,611.00.
Body
WHEREAS, sealed bids were received by the Parish on May 10, 2002 for the Willowdale Pump Station; and,
WHEREAS, Circle, Incorporated, the apparent low bidder, made a mistake on its bid, therefore effectively removing the company as the lowest bidder (See Attachment A, Letter from Circle, Inc.); and,
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish accepted the withdrawal of the bid from Circle, Incorporated on May 15, 2002 (See Attachment B, Letter from St. Charles Parish); and,
WHEREAS, N-Y Associates, Inc., Consulting Engineers for the Project, have reviewed the bids and recommend that the Contract be awarded to the actual lowest bidder, D & O Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $3,091,611.00 (See Attachment C, Letter from N-Y and Schedule of Bid Prices).
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the bid of D & O Contractors, Inc. for the construction of Willowdale Pump Station be hereby accepted in the amount of $3,091,611.00.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute the attached contract documents.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
