Title
An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 2 (Final) for Parish Project No. P091001, Drainage Improvements to KCS Canal Project to decrease the contract amount by $102,179.44 and increase the contract time by ninety six (96) days.
Body
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 12-6-7 adopted June 4, 2012, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of a contract with Hamp's Construction, LLC for Parish Project No. P091001, Drainage Improvements to KCS Canal Project in the amount of $1,199,737.81; and,
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 13-4-11 adopted April 22, 2013, by the St. Charles Parish Council, approved and authorized the execution of Change Order No. 1 for Parish Project No. P091001, Drainage improvements to KCS Canal Project for an increase in contract amount by $64,861.20 and increase the contract time by eighty three (83) days; and,
WHEREAS, the decrease in contract amount resulted from two (2) deleted bid line items in the amount of -$26,840.00, and an addition of one (1) bid line item in the amount of +$3,320.89, and a change in fifteen (15) bid line items in the amount of -$78,660.33; and,
WHEREAS, the increase in contract time was a result of days incurred due to rain events and flooding throughout the duration of the Project.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS,
SECTION I. That Change Order No. 2 (Final) for Parish Project No. P091001, Drainage Improvements to KCS Canal Project to decrease the contract amount by $102,179.44 and increase the contract time by ninety six (96) days be hereby approved and accepted.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.
