Title
A resolution to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract between the State of Louisiana Division of Administration and St. Charles Parish for the FY 2015-2016 Local Government Assistance Program for funding in the amount of $103,800.00 for the New District Attorney's Annex Building project, LGAP File #1516-STC-0001.
Body
WHEREAS, St. Charles Parish submitted an application for funding to construct an essential government building adjacent to the St. Charles Parish Courthouse located at 15045 River Road in Hahnville to house the St. Charles Parish District Attorney's Office; and,
WHEREAS, on January 12, 2016, the St. Charles Parish Council adopted Resolution No. 6200 in support of said application; and,
WHEREAS, the Parish was notified by way of a letter from the Governor dated May 23, 2016, that the Parish's application for said project was approved for funding in the amount of $103,800.00; and,
WHEREAS, the State has prepared a Contract to provide funding for said project and it is the desire of the St. Charles Parish Council to approve said Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of a Contract between the State of Louisiana Division of Administration and St. Charles Parish for the FY 2015-2016 Local Government Assistance Program for funding in the amount of $103,800.00 for the New District Attorney's Annex Building project, LGAP File #1516-STC-0001.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Contract and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project.
