Title
A resolution to approve the signing of a new two year contract with the firm of Adams and Reese, LLP as the Legislative Liaison for the River Region Caucus.
Body
WHEREAS, on March 14, 2005, the Parish Presidents of St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, St. James and Ascension Parishes met to review the new proposed contract with Adams and Reese, LLP, as Legislative Liaison for the River Region Caucus; and,
WHEREAS, on March 14, 2005, the Parish Presidents decided to approve a two year contract with the firm of Adams and Reese, LLP, upon the approval by Resolutions from the Parish Councils of St. Charles, St. John the Baptist, St. James and Ascension Parishes; and,
WHEREAS, the members of the St. Charles Parish Council agree that the services received from a Legislative Liaison have benefited the Parish.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of the attached Engagement Letter for the hiring of the firm of Adams & Reese, LLP, to serve as Legislative Liaison for the River Region Caucus from April 1, 2005 to March 31, 2007.
