Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Contract for Engineering Services with Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers for necessary professional engineering services associated with Parish Project No. P090202 Replace Pump and Install Cover at the New Sarpy Pump Station.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Council desires to have the following described project undertaken:
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Engineering services for Parish Project No. P090202 REPLACE PUMP AND INSTALL COVER AT THE NEW SARPY PUMP STATION. The service will include but will not be limited to serving as Owner's professional engineering representative for the Project, providing professional engineering consultation and advice, and furnishing customary civil, geotechnical, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and control engineering services and construction engineering and inspection; and,
WHEREAS, the existing pump and gear drive is old and beyond repair; and,
WHEREAS, it is necessary to replace the pump and install a cover to maintain capacity, reliability, and protect the equipment.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the contract for Engineering Services between Civil & Environmental Consulting Engineers and the Parish of St. Charles is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said contract on behalf of the Parish of St. Charles.

And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of ___________, 2009 to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
