A resolution requesting that the Parish President prepare and submit to the Parish Council an ordinance to amend the 2013 Consolidated Operating and Capital Budget to transfer $510,000.00 out of the Recreation Budget allocated for the Westbank Boat Launch and to allocate $282,307.00 to the General Fund dedicated to the Sunset Drainage District 2013 subsidy and $227,693.00 allocated to the Westbank Hurricane Protection Levee-Fund 310.

WHEREAS, as stated in the Home Rule Charter, Article V Financial Procedures, Section F. Amendments after adoption, 4. Transfer of Appropriations: the President may transfer part or all of any unencumbered appropriation balance among programs within a department or office of the Parish Council during the fiscal year, upon written request by the President the Parish Council may transfer part or all of any unencumbered appropriation balance from one department to another; and,
WHEREAS, the money dedicated to the Westbank Boat Launch is no longer unencumbered due to the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries advising the Parish that the grant for which this money was dedicated as matching funds will not be awarded to the Parish
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby request that the Parish President prepare and submit to the Parish Council an ordinance to amend the 2013 Consolidated Operating and Capital Budget to transfer $510,000.00 out of the Recreation Budget allocated for the Westbank Boat Launch and to allocate $282,307.00 to the General Fund dedicated to the Sunset Drainage District 2013 subsidy and $227,693.00 allocated to the Westbank Hurricane Protection Levee-Fund 310.
