Title
An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981, Section IV.D.2b subsection 6 and the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinances, Chapter 7 Section 7-2 (a)(6) to add Bituminous Coated Corrugated Steel Pipe as acceptable material for roadside drainage system installation and installation standards therefore.
Body
WHEREAS, Bituminous Coated Corrugated Steel Pipe is fully coated, dipped pipe; and,
WHEREAS, Bituminous Coated Corrugated Steel Pipe is highly resistant to corrosion and abrasion with smooth inside surface and maintains excellent flow properties throughout its service life; and,
WHEREAS, Bituminous Coated Corrugated Steel Pipe has a low maintenance level and longer life span; and,
WHEREAS, Bituminous Coated Corrugated Steel Pipe has been approved by the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That Section IV.D.2b subsection 6. of the St. Charles Parish Subdivision Regulations of 1981 be amended by adding the following (shown in bold) to subsection 6.
6. Culvert sizes shall match those for the lot or parcel as shown on the approved Subdivision plan. Culverts may be either corrugated steel, Bituminous Coated Corrugated Steel Pipe, concrete, or A-2000 PVC thermoplastic pipe, unless the Director of Public Works/Wastewater imposes stricter regulations.
SECTION II. That Chapter 7 Section 7-2 (a)(6) of the St. Charles Parish Code of Ordinances be amended by adding the following (shown in bold) to (a)(6).
