Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Parish of St. Charles, Brian Brogle, Coroner of St. Charles Parish, and the Center for Primary Care and Behavioral Health Services to develop and manage a state licensed Mental Health Rehabilitation and Intensive Outpatient Program.
Body
WHEREAS, Article VII, Section 14 (C) of the Louisiana Constitution of 1974 provides that for a public purpose, the State and its political subdivision or political corporations may engage in cooperative endeavors with each other or with any other private association, corporation or individuals; and,
WHEREAS, Article VII, Section 14(B) of the Louisiana Constitution of 1974 provides that public funds may be used for programs of social welfare for the aid and support of the needy; and,
WHEREAS, there is an immediate and ongoing need for psychiatric supportive treatment in St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, there is an immediate and ongoing need for Psychosocial Rehabilitation skills in St. Charles Parish; and,
WHEREAS, there is an immediate and ongoing need for intensive outpatient treatment for substance abuse and other addictive orders; and,
WHEREAS, it is the desire of St. Charles Parish to contract with Brian Brogle, Coroner of St. Charles Parish, and the Center for Primary Care and Behavioral Health Services to provide said services.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Cooperative Endeavor Agreement between the Parish of St. Charles, Brian Brogle, Coroner of St. Charles Parish, and the Center for Primary Care and Behavioral Health Services to develop and manage a state licensed Mental Health Rehabilitation and Intensive Outpatient Program is hereby approved and accepted.
