Title

An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 for the 29^th Judicial District Building Project to add 25 additional days to the contract and increase the contract amount by $59,402.10.

Body

WHEREAS,                     Ordinance No. 16-7-8 adopted July 18, 2016 by the St. Charles Parish Council awarded construction of the 29^th Judicial District Building (District Attorney Annex), to Boasso Construction, LLC; and,

WHEREAS,                     additional work in the amount of $59,402.10 is necessary to add two additional storage closets and to install access control/security equipment to ensure the safety of the building’s occupants and time delays associated with such work necessitates the additional 25 days.

THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:

                     SECTION I.                     That Change Order No. 1 for the 29^th Judicial District Building (District Attorney Annex) Project to add 25 additional days to the contract, and increase the contract amount by $59,402.10 is hereby approved and accepted.

                     SECTION II.                     That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Change Order on behalf of St. Charles Parish.

The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:

And the ordinance was declared adopted this ______ day of __________, 2017, to become effective five (5) days after this publication in the official journal.
