IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Mrs. Barbara Fuselier and her husband Dwain are residents of Luling, Louisiana in St. Charles Parish and they have one son Jarrett Dwain; and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Fuselier has held many positions in the St. Charles Parish School District and presently is the Principal at Hahnville High School; and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Fuselier has been an Educator for nearly 30 years, the last 15 of those years in Supervisory/Administrative Positions; and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Fuselier received her Bachelor of Science Degree from McNeese, Masters in Education from Nicholls, Masters + 30 in Lamar, Texas, and holds a type “A” Teaching Certificate with School Administration Certification; and,
WHEREAS, Mrs. Fuselier since her inception as Principal of Hahnville High School has implemented numerous positive changes such as; Hahnville High Information Technology Program, Pro-Start Culinary Arts Program, Tiger Mart, and presently under development is the Wellness Center; and,
WHEREAS, because of her leadership role, in May 2001, PC Family Magazine named Hahnville High one of the Top 100 Wired High Schools in the United States; and,
WHEREAS, on June 12, 2003, after being selected by The WDSU and Business Alliance of the University of New Orleans, Mrs. Fuselier received a crystal loving cup as “2003 Educational Leader Award.” This Award recognizes an Educational Administrator who in addition to normal duties demonstrates one or more of the following qualifications: Mentor and Role Model, Partnership Champion and Technology Advocate.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
