RESOLUTION NO.   6501                     

Title

A resolution to approve and authorize the Parish President, on behalf of St. Charles Parish, to request direct payments from the State of Louisiana from the allocation of funds to the State of Louisiana from the Coronavirus Relief Funds created by the CARES Act.

Body

WHEREAS,                     St. Charles Parish is eligible for direct payments from the State of Louisiana from the Coronavirus Relief Funds created by the CARES Act; and,

WHEREAS,                     the State of Louisiana requires St. Charles Parish to provide a resolution to sign the Federal Funding Certification and Agreement to Hold Harmless and Indemnify agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, do hereby approve and authorize the execution of the Federal Funding Certification and Agreement to hold Harmless and Indemnify Agreement between the State of Louisiana and St. Charles Parish.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Certification and Agreement and to act on behalf of St. Charles Parish in all matters pertaining to this project.

The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
