IN RECOGNITION
WHEREAS, Kourtney Weber is a resident of St. Charles Parish residing in St. Rose, Louisiana. She is the daughter of Kecia Charles and Derrick Weber and has one brother, Kolby Weber; and,
WHEREAS, Kourtney, is a Senior at Ursuline Academy of New Orleans and is a Small Forward and Shooting Guard on the Ursuline Lions basketball team; and,
WHEREAS, Kourtney has lead the Ursuline Lions to two State Championships, the first being the very first Championship in the school's history; and,
WHEREAS, Kourtney has been very successful in basketball through her years at Ursuline Academy. The following are her accomplishments just from her Senior year: All-District MVP, All-State MVP, All-Metro MVP, Louisiana Gatorade Player of the Year, Miss Louisiana Basketball, Clarion Herald MVP, Louisiana Sports Writers Association All-State MVP, Crescent City Sports Athlete of the Month in February, Louisiana High School Basketball Coaches Association All-State, McDonald's All-American Nominee, LHSAA State Basketball Tournament Most Outstanding Player, LHSAA Division II Tournament MVP, LHSAA Division II State Champion, LHSCA / LHSAA All-Star Team Member, LHSCA / LHSAA All-Star Game MVP, Naples Tournament All-Tournament Team, UA Invitational All-Tournament Team, an espnW Five Star recruit, named to All-USA Louisiana Girls Basketball Team, and recipient of the Pat Taylor award; and,
WHEREAS, Kourtney has signed with Florida State University.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, do hereby offer this tribute and recognition to
