Title
A resolution providing mandatory support for the Planning and Zoning Commission's approval to expand a religious institution on Lot C, Square C, Oakland Estates Subdivision, municipal address 10328 River Road, St. Rose, with a waiver to setback requirements, specifically item B.I.1.c.(4) under Section VI. Zoning District Criteria and Regulations, of the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance.
Body
WHEREAS, the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981 requires a supporting resolution of the Parish Council to waive any zoning requirements for a special permit use; and,
WHEREAS, BAPS New Orleans, LLC requests a special permit use for an expansion of a religious institution with a waiver from the required setbacks; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of the special permit use with a waiver from the required setbacks at its regular meeting on December 7, 2017.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED THAT THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL, hereby provides this resolution in support of the Planning and Zoning Commission's approval of a Special Permit Use to expand a religious institution on Lot C, Square C, Oakland Estates Subdivision, municipal address 10328 River Road, St. Rose, with a waiver of the setback requirements, specifically item B.I.1.c.(4) under Section VI. Zoning District Criteria and Regulations, of the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance.
The foregoing resolution having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
