Title
An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of a Lease with the Secretary of the Army for the twenty-six acre Bonnet Carre’ Spillway Recreation Site. (Lease No. DACW29-1-15-39).
Body
WHEREAS, the Parish has operated the Bonnet Carre’ Spillway Recreational Site since May of 1981; and,
WHEREAS, the current lease agreement expired on December 31, 2013, and it is the desire of the Parish and the Corps of Engineers to extend said lease for an additional ten year period.
THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION I. That the Department of the Army Lease to non-state governmental agencies for public park and recreational purposes, Bonnet Carre’ Spillway Recreation Lease, Bonnet Carre’ Spillway, St. Charles Parish, Louisiana No. DACW29-1-15-39 is hereby approved.
SECTION II. That the Parish President is hereby authorized to execute said Lease on behalf of the St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation.
The foregoing ordinance having been submitted to a vote, the vote thereon was as follows:
And the ordinance was declared adopted this day of , 2015, to become effective five (5) days after publication in the Official Journal.
