In Memoriam: Mr. Alvin Millet

The Parish of St. Charles
IN MEMORIAM
WHEREAS, on July 20, 2002, Almighty God, in His Infinite Wisdom, saw fit to call from amongst us one of His most worthy servants, Alvin "A.A." Millet; and,
WHEREAS, Alvin Millet was both a loving husband and father and a dedicated Public Servant; and,
WHEREAS, in 1970 Alvin Millet was appointed Justice of the Peace for Ward 6 to fill the unexpired term of his late father, Nemoure Millet. Alvin had been re-elected each time thereafter with very little opposition; and,
WHEREAS, Alvin Millet was an active member of the Justice of the Peace and Constables Association, the Norco Civic Association and he was also an active parishioner of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church in Norco; and,
WHEREAS, Alvin Millet, a life-long resident of St. Charles Parish, retired from Shell Oil Company in 1985 after 37 years of service; and,
WHEREAS, on behalf of all citizens of St. Charles Parish, the Parish Council and the Parish President wish to posthumously honor ALVIN "A.A." MILLET as an outstanding and dedicated Public Servant of the Parish of St. Charles.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT WE, THE MEMBERS OF THE ST. CHARLES PARISH COUNCIL AND THE PARISH PRESIDENT, duly assembled on this 16th day of December, 2002, do hereby express our sincere sympathy to the family of
ALVIN "A.A." MILLET

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that when this meeting is adjourned, it shall be done in memory of ALVIN "A.A." MILLET.
